We are represented by the Medical Director of Sussex Surgical Specialists, Mr Guy Harris a consultant in General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgery who holds a consultant post at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester part of the Western Sussex Hospitals Trust.

Mr Guy JC Harris MB BS FRCS (Gen) GMC 3477025
Mr Guy Harris is a full time consultant in the NHS who also offers surgical services to private patients (insured or self-funding).
He is recognised by all UK medical insurance organisations as a specialist provider in General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Harris qualified in 1991 from St George’s Hospital Medical School (University of London). His surgical training over the next 13 years was in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.
He completed two, year long specialist fellowships in surgery. First at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA in 1999 under Dr Victor Fazio where he received the Sandford Weiss scholarship in the treatment colorectal cancer and later a fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide in 2003.
He took up a consultant post in 2004 at St Richard’s Hospital Chichester specialising in general, colorectal, laparoscopic and hernia surgery. In addition to his clinical and teaching responsibilities he was the hospital lead clinician for cancer services until 2013 and is multidisciplinary lead clinician and member of the Central South Coast Specialty Group for colorectal cancer. He is a member of the court of examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of both the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
He is committed to improving the experience of patients undergoing both minor and major abdominal surgery; particularly with reference to enhanced recovery programmes, day-case and laparoscopic surgery.

Miss Angela Skull MBBS FRCS (Gen) GMC 3548774
Miss Angela Skull is a full time consultant surgeon in the NHS. She also offers surgical services to private patients. She is recognized by all UK medical insurance organizations as a specialist provider in General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic surgery.
Miss Skull graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991.
She trained in the South West Thames region, specialising in colorectal surgery. She learnt laparoscopic colorectal surgery during a fellowship in Brisbane, Australia in 2003, and spent 2006 in a laparoscopic colorectal fellowship in the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit in Guildford, Surrey with Professor Tim Rockall. She spent two years as a consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, and moved to St Richard’s in Chichester in November 2009.
Angela specialises in laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and has performed over 350 laparoscopic colonic resections. She also has a special interest in pelvic floor and incontinence surgery, including the latest techniques of sacral nerve stimulation and laparoscopic rectopexy.

Mr Bruce Levy MBChB, MSC, MD, FRCS (Gen) GMC 472182
Mr Levy is a full time NHS consultant colorectal surgeon at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester who in addition treats patients privately.
He is recognised by all UK medical insurance organisations as a specialist provider in General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Levy completed 12 years of surgical training, most of which was in the south of England. In addition he worked for two years at the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit (MATTU), Guildford and obtained his MD. His studies focused on Enhanced Recovery Programmes and optimization of outcomes following laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Later he completed a year as a trauma surgeon in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa treating serious abdominal and chest injuries.
Mr Levy is an invited laparoscopic surgical trainer at the Minimal Access Therapy training Unit, Guildford, specialising in laparoscopic colorectal and hernia surgery.
